Is there any part number for this steering wheel? And was steering wheels like this put on 500Es?
That steering wheel was not standard equipment on any E500E.

It may have been available as a dealer accessory in some markets, but I do not know the part number.

FYI... I've driven cars with wood steering wheels. I don't like them. Make sure you REALLY want a wood-rimmed wheel before spending $$$$ on one...

I second that opinion. Wood is slippery and I don't like the hard feel of it. The only one I ever liked was the wheel where the inner section was wood but the outer section was leather

Agree 100%. The style with small sections of wood insert at top & bottom only, so the entire outer diameter is leather, is ok... I have a couple of these. I still prefer full leather though. The wood looks nice, but the feel is less than ideal.

The E500E only came with full-leather steering wheels from the factory.

Anything else was installed either by the dealership, or AMG.

Talk about irrational exuberance on the price. Wowzers. This is straight outta Japan... note the LHT headlights, R129-style wood console, and telltale "Exh Temp" lamp in the cluster (which has Stage III DDD).

1994 Mercedes-Benz E-Class S124 E36T AMG

If you fancied a 30 years old Mercedes Benz S124 E36T AMG wagon with only 2739km, this is your chance.
This extremely rare E36T AMG wagon (1 of 172 ever produced) was released in September of 1993 as an official Mercedes Benz product developed in collaboration with AMG before the merging of these 2 companies. It also happens to be one of the few widebody examples.
It started life as a freshly facelifted E280 wagon that was built new in Germany in July 1993 and then subsequently upgraded by AMG to E36 specification. Under the hood is an inline 6 engine code named M104.942
This engine was built out to 3.6L from the standard Mercedes 2.8L unit. A modified crankshaft & new forged pistons were added. This was combined with porting of the cylinder head. An upgraded intake cam shaft was added as well as advancing the timing of the exhaust cam shaft together with adding sodium filled exhaust valves for better heat dissipation. A better flowing exhaust system completed the AMG's modifications to the engine. The engine output was rated by AMG at 265 horsepower and 269 ft-lb of torque according to the label.
Another unique feature about this car is that it was factory ordered with a 5-speed automatic transmission which was optional outside of North America known as the 722.5
The E36T had firmer springs and shock absorbers as well as a lower ride height compared to a standard S124 wagon.
It is finished in Blue Black Metallic with black leather interior. Only 2739km

Interesting how/why this would be based off of the E280T (124.088). Maybe that was a typo because there are in fact 172 of these (957 E320T 124.092) produced like stated in the listing. On that topic, probably a typo on the price too :spend:

The VIN would confirm... someone would need to convince the seller to share the VIN.

Edit - @WDB748372 located the original thread from 2022 with VIN.

There weren't any 990/957 124.092 with a 722.5 so it most likely is a 124.088 but there aren't any 990/957 codes associated with that chassis. Quite the asking price for a conversion.

A little bit of digging and of course it was documented on this forum in the following thread
