1994 E420 w/asr - cleaning the Speed sensors

My E420 is acting up again. Over the last year I have replaced the upper harness, brake light switch, rebuilt throttle body, plugs, wires, rotors, caps, new battery, etc. As soon as the cold weather set in, the ASR light has been coming on and the car goes into limp home mode. Once the car warms up to operating temperature I am able to turn off and then on and the light goes out usually for the rest of the day. Had the car to the indy to read codes and they replaced a temp sensor and said the only other codes indicated the speed sensors. My question is - How do you clean the speed sensors? I want to do this before buying new ones as they are very spendy.
Thank you in advance for any and all assistance. Oh, the car has 267K kms and has been serviced regularly, has original wheels with snows right now.
Cheers, Mike.
