1995 Mercedes-Benz (W124) E500 Limited

KEY FACTS
  • This Mercedes-Benz E500 Limited is a potent ‘super-saloon’, developed in conjunction with Porsche, and here presented in a timeless colour scheme.
  • It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre, which sends up to 320bhp to the rear wheels through a smooth four-speed automatic transmission.
  • In total 1,855 E500s were produced, and just 951 were Limited versions.
  • This left-hand-drive E500 Limited was first delivered to Russia. It is now located in Abu Dhabi, and is noted to have been with its current and reportedly second owner for two years.
  • The odometer indicates 134,559 kilometres from new.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
  • Co-developed with Porsche, the E500 was built at the marque’s Zuffenhausen plant and features a wider track, a lower stance, flared wheel arches, substantial 320mm front brake discs with four-piston callipers, and a potent naturally aspirated V8 engine.
  • This example is finished in a timeless Brilliant Silver metallic hue over a patterned black and grey leather-trimmed cabin, punctuated by birdseye maple wood inlays.
  • It rides on a set of 17-inch ‘Evo II’ six-spoke alloy wheels, which are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.
  • Equipment includes an electric tilt and slide sunroof, heated and electrically adjustable front seats with two-position memory, cruise control, automatic climate control, traction control, an electric rear sunblind, and an aftermarket Pioneer radio CD player head unit.
  • Accompanying the sale is its most recent service invoice and one key.
CONDITION
  • Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
  • The car’s last inspection of roadworthiness was conducted in October 2024, during which the seller reports that no warnings or advisory items were noted.
SERVICE HISTORY
  • This E500 Limited’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in 2023 at approximately 133,000 km by Maraghi. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change service.
SUMMARY
The W124 Mercedes-Benz E500 Limited is one of the original ‘super-saloons’, combining unassuming exterior styling with a potent V8 engine and various performance-focussed parts. This tasteful example would now benefit from a service, though once performed will surely impress its next owner with its comfort, performance, and rarity.

The description of this consignment is, to the best of the seller’s knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Collecting Cars requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller and performs a level of due diligence. However, potential buyers must independently satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description. Potential buyers should view or arrange inspections as well as conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to bid or buy.

Please note that it is not uncommon for classic or collectible vehicles to have received cosmetic repairs in the past, either to rectify damage or refresh appearance, and this work may be undetectable even upon visual inspection. Unless there is an explicit statement by the seller to the contrary, please assume that any vehicle could have had bodywork or paintwork during its life. Furthermore, photographs may not reflect the true colour or full condition of the vehicle. It is a bidder’s responsibility to satisfy themselves of the colour and condition of a vehicle, including its interior and the existence of any remedial bodywork or paintwork, before committing to bid or buy. This includes by raising enquiries with the seller in the comments section.

For vehicles, unless otherwise stated, potential buyers should also assume that any cherished registration may be retained by the seller. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details.

Michelins on NEEZ is nice. The car spent time in Japan and has LHT (Japan/UK) headlight lenses. Passenger lens may not be 036, can't quite tell from the photos, doesn't look right. One of the fender repeater lights is falling out, headlight wiper hose disconnected... wonder what other surprises will turn up.

@xfadmin, or anyone else, if you can download all the photos to upload that would be awesome. The CC website does something screwy with their images and my image downloader finds 2500+ images (instead of 242) and I'm unable to batch-download them.

Yeah, looks a rough 100k miles to me. Too much going on in the interior. Just drive it, quit fiddling around with it.

IMOP, removing the white steering wheel, painting the wooden switches black for the front seats and removing the stain from the front seat would help a lot.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the Birds Eye maple finished wood it’s to light in color.

Again, Just my opinion.:)
