No affiliation. I have a hard time believing the 47kkm claim. No price listed, someone needs to "DM" the social media seller.

The E60 sedan, E62 Lorinser wagon and now an E60 AMG wagon, what a week!

@WDB748372 - is the engine serial useful? 119980-12-x92330 / AMG 60 0113
Im out of town and don’t have my computer with me but off the top of my head the 210.272 engine serial numbers start from 000xxx up to 028xxx. x092330 might be in there but I doubt it. This most likely won’t have a matching engine serial number.

I might be able to find the VIN on Monday but Silver on Black I’d imagine the most common spec so might be difficult.

I have a hard time believing the 47kkm claim.
+1

I suspect the AMG engine serial numbers are different and may not match the original. AMG had to replace the block but I wasn't sure what they usually did with engine numbers.

RENNtech sometimes used a donor engine from a different vehicle and did not change the original serial. In at least one case RT did change to a new block and stamped the original serial number which matched the datacard.

Was able to access my machine remotely, there isn’t a x092330 engine serial number. I’m guessing this might have been swapped in Japan, would be interesting to ask AMG Classic if they have any info if I can find the VIN.

That stuff is still a mystery for me as well, if they re-stamped the original block serial number or how it was determined to add the 957 code.
The black E60 wagon that AMG Classic certified doesn’t have matching serial numbers.
The 957 green E60 wagon has matching serial numbers and I believe they re-stamped the original number (physical datacard is 019xxx w/o 957 but datacard was later updated to add 957). Although I’m not fully confident on that claim because all of the VINs around are 028xxx so might be possible the physical datacard was printed that way since it was ordered new.

I was just thinking about what you mentioned here, Dave.. I know, I'm stirring an 'old broth' now..

On your (post on the board) from Mar. 3rd about the E50/E60 from the MBM site - 1996 Mercedes-Benz E60 AMG For Sale | The MB Market - it does show an engine number figuring the high '99xxxx' for a M119.980 on lastvin as well..

*Refresher added*

FOR SALE - 1996 E60 AMG W210, Black Opal/Black, 138kkm, MBM auction (Abu Dhabi, UAE) | Off-Topic Discussions

So maybe AMG Japan did perform a 'swap' or re-stamping a newer/alternative number (like at Affalterbach's fashion in this case linked above) ?! ..upon their conversion being completed to a 5.0/6.0 enhance of displacement/power on 'Rising-Sun-Empire', having the 210.072/.272 as a basis..

Only wanted to point that out, as @WDB748372 found factory-side's numbering were as high as x29xxx..

Looks like this car is bought and already imported, in May, by inbound motorsports. I'm guessing this will be flipped and up for auction in the future.

Forgot to clarify, that is for the 210.272 chassis (about a dozen oddballs that are way past that). 210.072 based E60's are mostly between 990xxx-992xxx (ends exactly at engine no. 993011).

Looks like this is getting closer to being flipped. Car visited same detailer Inbound Motorsports used when listing the Blue Barry Taylor 230E AMG.

You’re looking at a Mercedes-Benz E60 AMG. For most, that’s already the Holy Grail of wagons. But zoom in on that side trim: the ATP Tour badge.

In 1996, Mercedes-Benz partnered with the ATP to celebrate the pinnacle of tennis. While they made a handful of ATP edition E-classes, seeing one on a genuine 6.0L V8 AMG wagon is like finding a needle in a haystack—in the middle of a thunderstorm.

With fewer than 30 E60 wagons ever built, this ATP Tour edition is likely a bespoke commission, making it one of the rarest “sleeper” estates on the planet.

We treated this silver legend to a full paint correction and a multi-year ceramic coating. When you’re dealing with a car this significant, “good enough” isn’t an option. We’re not just detailing a car; we’re preserving a piece of Affalterbach history.

w210 Engines was all of them Opendeck .I my mind opendeck doesent fit with 6,0 liters. All of them based of maybe 420 or 500 closed Deck blocks.
The comp Ratio is correkt with 10,0 for 6,0 but 119.980 isent correct for 6,0

I don't think this an open deck block anyway but would need the block casting number that's on the driver's side to confirm. What else would it be if 119.980 isn't correct? Since it was located in Japan I would guess it had one of those crate engines installed just like the E60 sedans. I don't believe Japan was stamping engines to match the original 4.2L block which would've had a 119.985 stamp like its datacard. I've asked AMG Classic about these things and the 10/11 compression ratios but they probably had enough of me.

I wonder where the "fewer than 30 E60 wagons ever built" was sourced as I never heard of 30 before.

Don't see any sort of SA code for the "ATP Tour" on the 072 (E420/E50/E60), 272 (E420T/E60T), 074 (E55), 274 (E55T) chassis but only for W202. I would expect the trim to write "Avantgarde ATP Tour" rather than "Sport ATP Tour." I saw a few photos online of the ATP Tour editions having a different piece for the shift knob (attached) which this car seems to not have. Wonder if this was just added by a previous owner :scratchchin:
