Please provide dimensions: thread length, length from thread to rounded seat; and top of seat to bolt top.

Thanks for the email and link to gsx's web page. I have 18" BBS Aero II AGM 18" rims with 44 mm spacers and my current lug bolts on1y have 3 - 4 threads seated. I want to be sure that these are long enough to seat more securely.

All the best,

Joe

FYI
The link added to my previous post shows that 6-6-47-0134 supersedes the early style 6-6-47-0107 with polished stainless steel plate - the type posted for sale in this thread. But they have a way too short shank for your 44 mm spacers.

If you really run with spacers that thick you may not find long enough lug bolts. Unless those spacers are a bolted setup with specific lug bolts, you definitely have to consider studbolts w/lug nuts which involves a more complex way to go. Otis/RAD has lug bolts with max 60 mm shank:
I bought those 60 mm shank bolts myself for my exLimited and cut them to correct length for 10 mm spacer at front and 15 mm rear. They may not be long enough for 44 mm spacers, which is a pretty risky setup IMO.

Joe, what is the part number of your BBS Aero II wheels? And are the 44mm (!!!) spacers the type that use extra-long bolts, or do the wheels bolt to the spacer and the spacers use separate bolts to the hub?

:detective:

Hi Dave,
I can't find a part number on the BBS Aero II AMGs short of taking a wheel off. I'm currently using a 60 mm threaded bolt (see attached). The spacer is loose and a real pain to mount when chaboltnging wheels.

Perhaps the best solution would be to use a 65 mm lug provided the hub can accept another 5mm of thread.

All the best,

Joe

"changing" not "chaboltnging" in the message above.

In any case the offered mid-length lug bolts won't work for me.

All the best,

Joe

Correct - you need a longer lug bolt. Be REALLY careful with rear tires, the if the bolts protrude too far in, they will bind on the parking brake components. Rotate the rear wheels by hand before trying to drive to verify everything clears. There are no issues up front, you can use "too long" bolts up front without issues.

If your AMG wheels have 14mm bolt holes, you also need hybrid lug bolts with R14 ball seat and M12 thread. The part number of the wheel would confirm this.
