REMINDER!
Due to the lead time necessary to have the t-shirts printed and available at the May 1st GTG, the deadline for ordering a 2015 East Coast GTG t-shirt (see post #34 for the design) is tomorrow, April 3rd @ midnight EST. If you would like a t-shirt (regardless of whether or not you are planning to attend the GTG), please let us know by responding to this thread. This is especially true if you are interested in a size larger than XL. We simply need to know how many shirts to order in each of the available sizes.
Final shirt prices are as follows:
S - XL: $16
XXL: $18
XXXL: $19
Payment arrangements will be published shortly. Thanks!
4 weeks and counting!
!!! I hope you're staying local.

T-Shirts will be Gildan Ulta Cotton (90/10) in Sport Gray (i.e. heather) with black graphics. This is a nice looking and durable shirt that I have had great past experiences with. Once we get a count of how many shirts will be ordered, we will set a price, but it will not be more than $20. 2XL will cost $2.50 extra and 3XL will be $3.50 more.
If you are not coming to the GTG, you may still buy a shirt and I will ship them to a US address at my USPS cost. All shirts will be shipped at the same time to make this easier to manage.
All orders need to be in by April 1st, so now is the time to let us know what you want!
As Terry said, the front of the shirt will have the MB star logo on the left front chest (where a pocket would be).
Here is the artwork for the back of the shirt:

I know I am late for the party, but is it possible to get an XL shirt?
I'd like to add 2 x Large T shirts if it's not too late.

for those of you who are intending to join us in DC (but haven't yet confirmed with us) to please reply to this thread and let us know which events you will be attending. The two events which require us to provide a headcount in advance are the Katie's C&C (by 4/25) and Saturday night's dinner @ M&S Grill (by 4/27). For those of you who have previously responded, please check post #2 to be sure that the information we have for you is correct and up-to-date.
***2015 East Coast E500E Spring GTG: May 2[SUP]nd [/SUP]& 3[SUP]rd***[/SUP]
Hi everyone! This thread will officially launch the 2015 East Coast E500E GTG. Please be sure to post any replies or comments to this thread as the previous Washington DC GTG thread will not be actively monitored. All “official” event related updates will be published here.
As previously announced, the 2015 East Coast E500E GTG will take place on the weekend of May 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] & 3rd. For convenience, ease of access and proximity to lots of restaurants, shops, and other interesting things, the geographic center of the GTG will be Tysons Corner, VA. Tysons Corner is located 13 miles west of downtown Washington, D.C., and is easily accessible (by car) via I-66, I-95, I-395, & I-495. For those who may be flying in, both Dulles and Reagan National Airports are about 15 miles away.
We are currently planning activities/events for both Saturday and Sunday, which breakdown as follows:
Saturday – May 2[SUP]nd[/SUP]:
Main events
- Katie’s Cars and Coffee – Great Falls, VA - 6am – 9am
- Group Car Photo shoot (informal only, no professional photographer available)
- Docent led group tour of the Udvar-Hazy Aerospace Exhibition @ Dulles Airport; 2-5 pm (subject to cancellation if insufficient interest)
- Group Dinner: 7 PM
M&S Grill
11901 Democracy Dr.
Reston, VA 20190
(703) 787-7766
- features a wide variety of American cuisine
- no time limit re: length of our group's stay
Flex event(s)
Due to the fact that the Katie’s C&C will not occur if it rains, the following events may occur in the event of inclement weather or as a complementary event if there is sufficient interest:
- Group breakfast/lunch
- Local scenic drive
- Visit to Udvar-Hazy Smithsonian Aerospace Exhibition @ Dulles Airport
Sunday – May 3rd:
Main event
- Deutsche Marque Concours – Nottaway Park - Vienna, VA - 9am – 4pm
- Group Car Photo shoot (we are trying to arrange for a professional photographer to photograph GTG participants at the DM)
For those who may not be participating at the DM Concours, we would recommend brunch at the American Tap Room, 1811 Library St, Reston, VA 20190.
For the Katie’s, we need to provide a count of participants from our group one week in advance to the Katie's organizers.
Please also note that we have deliberately left large blocks of time open on the schedule (especially if you’re not participating in either Katie’s C&C or the DM Concours. There is so much going on and so much to do in and around Washington, D.C., that we wanted to give folks as much opportunity to explore as possible. And now you don't even need to drive into DC as there is a Metro stop at Tyson's. If the weather is good, then depending on demand, we may run some of the flex events as alternative events for those not wanting to participate in a main event.
Travelers
A list of 3 recommended hotel locations in the local Tysons area is published at thread #23.
We look forward to seeing/meeting you in May!
. . . So I can't wait to see all of your cars at Katie's! . . .
One week until the 2015 East Coast GTG!Terry,
Sign me up for everything! I have "negotiated" trip trades to work this out IF it all holds together.
If there is a shirt left over, I am a Large.
Also, which car shall I bring?
The 93' stock 040 is more photogenic, but a daily driver.
The 92' Renntech is paint challenged, but a SWEET exhaust sound and EVO 2 wheels.
As for the car, if it were me I'd probably bring the 040 (don't know if we have any others coming in that color), but whatever choice you make, it will be good.
Hope your arrangements hold up.

One minor correction to vatc5637's post -- nocfn is getting the XXL shirt, so we are down to one XL still available.
The weather is looking pretty good. Saturday partly cloudy 70-75 and Sunday mostly sunny 75-80.
Nocfn, would you prefer am XL?
Hello Guest !
We wanted to let you know about a new resource that is now available to all 500Eboard members. This is a comprehensive database of all US-market (and soon to include Canadian-market) 500E and E500 models delivered for the 1992 through 1994 model years.
Data for this resource has been compiled continuously since mid-2003, and much of this information is seeing the light of day for the very first time ever. This new resource will allow you to utilize 500Eboard research and resources to track specific cars, their sale history, documented modifications, and other information that has surfaced over the years.
We are also providing analytics about the cars' production. This means that if you are curious as to how many "Signal Red" cars were produced for the US market with a black interior, specifically in Model Year 1993, you can now easily find this information. You can also find aggregated information -- for example, how many "Black Pearl" cars were imported into the US over the three-year span.
You can always find and enjoy this resource by clicking here (bookmark the site for easy reference!), or by going to the “500Eboard Registry and VIN Database” sub-forum below. You can also find a VIN Database button at the top of your screen, for easy access.
We hope you enjoy this resource. A LOT of blood, sweat and tears over nearly 23 years have gone into its creation.
Cheers,
500Eboard Management
