Newton Autohaus has a "never used" 30 lb. R-12 for sale.
I believe he wants $225 for the canister.
Made in USA and never used.

Ask for Rick Martinez at 828-466-1759.

I've been hunting for replacement R12 for a minute, I just happened to be @ my desk @ the right time!

special pricing for 500E board members that need a charge on R12 in the shop...:)

Threadjack:

Anyone know of a reputable vendor with a great price on 30-lb tanks of R-134a? I should probably get 'em while they are still "cheap"...

:roadrunner:

they're all over...know anyone in your area with a shop that you are friends with? They can usually get some pretty Great pricing from the local McParts stores on 134a.

Shipping this stuff SUCKS ie, why I say stay local.

hell, as cheap as I have seen 134a by the lb in costco it's a tight race $/lb

So Vader-yoinks are evidently on the lower end of the bell curve. :lolol:

I think Jono was on this WITHIN 60 seconds of my posting it.

That was the same method he used to get the Brumos car.

You gotta be fast around here!

I got a 30-pound canister never used for $100 here in Houston a few years ago. I still have never used it :)

I'll double your $ if you want to sell it...;)
Thanks for the offer. I need to keep it for its ozone-killing properties...especially now that the news is saying that the hole in the ozone layer is closing up, and that it's really R-134a (not R-12) that is bad for the environment. It's my anti-Algore insurance.....

Like any good "classic," I just KNEW that if I waited long enough, R-12 systems & gas would come back into style again.
