4602 Becker - Amplifier question

My right side speakers are not working and after trying a spare amplifier now both channels are dead.

Do both amplifiers have to be connected or will one side work if that amplifier is connected? Also can you connect speakers directly to the front unit and bypass amplifiers?

I see speaker wire connectors in the wiring harness off the back of the radio. I have 3 spare amplifiers and can't believe they are all bad, but swapped them out and now no sound either channel.

try rotating your fader switch back and fourth, sometimes these fail too
