Firstly I'd like to thank GSXR, Gerryvz and all the others who have posted so many helpful tips over the years!
I've learned quite a bit and really appreciate the gracious contributions....
I wanted to post my experience with these two wonderful lights in hope it can help some one else along the way. Also wanted to refer to Gerryvz's comment on one post that sometimes the answer is the simple one!
In short, these two lights went out when I simply replace the fuse in the box.
I've attached a picture to help as it took me some time to figure out what what was "the Box" (after looking at a post Gerryvz mentioned) and then I was lucky enough to notice the third fuse I looked at was blown..
In the end here's the data:
- I know I have a dodgy ETA and I go in to limp mode every few months
- My car sat for a while over a wet Nor Cal winter and I think the fuse blew from dampness in the engine bay
- The two lights came on when I fired up the car and stayed on
- The car ran fine, it was just that the lights were on
I was all prepared to look at the E Gas and ASR modules in the Box, but in the end it was just the fuse.
Again, thanks to GSXR and GerryVZ. If it weren't for you two, I wouldn't have know where the Box was and I wouldn't have been looking at the modules. I probably would have simply thrown $2000 at the ETA and still had the issue.
