• Hi Guest !

    Welcome to the 500Eboard forum.

Since its founding in late 2008, 500Eboard has become the leading resource on the Internet for all things related to the Mercedes-Benz 500E and E500. In recent years, we have also expanded to include the 400E and E420 models, which are directly related to the 500E/E500.

We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. If you find helpful information, please register for full membership, and you'll find even more resources available. Feel free to ask questions, and make liberal use of the "Search" function to find answers.

We hope you will become an active contributor to the community!

    Sincerely,
    500Eboard Management

Nope, I'm done messing around with this. UNIX permissions should have been set up for the FTP transfer/directory in advance.

I wasted a ton of my own [ISP-capped] personal home internet monthly bandwidth on this, for nothing.
Hey just saw this...
Is the status of this topic essentially dead currently?

Being 2021, everyone having faster internet (and probably paying too much for it) 26G isnt what it used to be (feels weird just saying that having started my life with an apple IIe clone)

If this issue isn't dead.. would love a vmware image... and be willing to devote some time on this..

I have some hosting capability (currently in Singapore with unlimited storage and bandwidth)
... the thought which came to mind was i could create a webapp/API to enable a download of the vmware file.. (would create it with node.js)

figured I would ask before I invest any time/thought ... let me know...

Jesus Christ, that post was from 2015.

Ummm...have you checked out this post? Or this post?

The first post contains linked VMware and VirtualBox images that are ready to download and import into one's hypervisor of choice. VMware being a "paid" option (at least VMware Fusion for the Mac) and Oracle VirtualBox being a "free" version that works excellently. I am a bit partial as the latter company has been my employer for the past six years.
