Set is really nice, still in box from plater. Done many years ago. Ran across them while cleaning out the parts room. I've been sitting on them a bit too long

FWIW....That is not a spot on the wheel, but rather the reflection of an HVAC vent in the ceiling. The wheels are in excellent shape.

I have them in the exactly same size on my C36AMG (With tires: 225-40-ZR18). However none chrome-plated. I love that old AMG Design very much. Price is a bargain in that described shape and according to the picture, you pay the same for used, non-plated wheels in "average" condition on german ebay.
My question would be just, aren't they to small for the 500E?

They are larger than the stock wheels for 500E and sit 6mm further out, so no, they're not too small for a 500E.

Some people's opinion may be that they are "too small", but by the numbers, no.

Sigh...if only they were painted silver.

Someone will be super happy to score these as is tho.

yay/nay center caps? If they were painted I'd have grabbed these in about 2 seconds..!

Hey Jono,
I don't think I have centercaps for them. I believe there are some still available but not cheap. Saw some in Milwaukee on eBay the other day.
Are they 60mm instead of 75mm?

I have a set of Penta's that have the old style centercap and it is smaller than the caps on my newer AMG rims on my CLK55.

I will venture to the warehouse and dig them out.

I do not have caps for the rims.

My Penta caps fit the AERO I's, they are black plastic and not chrome. I don't know what was originally offered with the AERO.
It requires a 60mm cap.

Yes - the bore on the back side (which contacts the hub/rotor) will be the correct 66.7mm diameter. Only the front center cap bore is smaller than the usual MB size (not sure the diameter) so the standard caps won't fit. I think. Jono can verify this...

So.. Anybody knows if these wheels fits perfectly on a 500E hub??
Curious,, I've never seen a 500E with this exact wheels on the internet,, maybe are for 300E,s...

Anybody has photos of 500E's with this wheels??

I believe Talbir was able to fit a set of these AMG Aero Is on one of his 500Es. I recall seeing photos he posted of said wheels on his car, but I think that was on the late 500Ecstasy.com....

In fact, he OWES me those wheels as payment for a steering wheel I sent him about 2 years ago. I need to collect my debt....:victorious:

So to possibly sell these to an E500E owner, it might make sense for Darkstar to verify the actual rear bore diameter & depth. Hmm? :clapper:

The standard E500E cap definitely does not fit these wheels. The proper caps can readily be purchased on-line.
