Are these still available or no? Have this bumper but debating if I should sell it or make it fit on my 92 500E . Saw the thread about the silver AMG bumper that was sold on BAT , this is brand new OEM genuine Mercedes part , not halfass repaired and painted multiple times

The FULL ACCESSORY bumper kit B6-602-0730 has been NLA for years. This kit included the tow-hook cover, both auxiliary high-beam driving lights (NOT FOGS), wiring, and misc hardware. The kit was half the cost, or less, vs the bare bumper.

The BARE BUMPER HWA-124-885-01-25 appears to still available. It does not include the NLA tow hook cover (need to get one 3D printed). The lights, either aux high beams or fogs, are both NLA from MB. I've seen a pair of NOS high beam lights on eBay in Japan for $2k.

I decided to ask my dealer on a whim a year or so ago as mine had cracks that had been repaired 15 years ago and the repairs were breaking down.

MB said they had 49 bumper covers in Germany! I couldn’t believe it. So I ordered one. 3 weeks later it arrived and dealer said there are only 27 were left. I’m not sure how many are left now but it can’t be many.

Parts advisor later found out that MB had found 50 in a warehouse that weren’t accounted for somehow. All were date coded 2004 with matching vintage boxes.

Get it now if you need or want one.

So there were 49 plus 50 more available a year ago?

How can i order one? What is MB and NLA, my apologies im new to the forum. Im trying to locate the complete amg body kit for my 95 e320 cabriolet . Thanks

How can i order one?
Order from any Mercedes dealership. The front bumper is just small enough to ship via UPS/FedEx Ground, so you can purchase from online discount dealers if desired. MB of Naperville, IL has it listed for $1600, free shipping with code 500EPROMO, click here. MB of Covington, LA shows it for $1265 plus shipping, likely ~$1500 delivered (click here). There are lots of other dealers too.

What is MB and NLA,
MB = Mercedes Benz
NLA = No Longer Available, indicating that Mercedes has sold all inventory, and does not plan to produce any more of a given part number

Locating a complete body kit will not be easy, as you need the shorter side skirts that only fit the coupé and cabrio. Sedan/wagon side skirts are too long. The price could be insane if you do find one. The rear bumper is oversize and has to ship via freight, which complicates any purchase that isn't local.

You can use your existing impact strip. A new one is "only" $125 MSRP / $100 discount, part # 124-885-14-21. This gets painted the same color as the bumper.

Bigger problems are the tow hook cover is NLA, and the lights are NLA.

Assuming your cabrio has stock headlights, you need the auxiliary high beam lights for the bumper. There's a pair on eBay out of Japan for $2000 (link). Rare and hard to find.

There is a company out of Canada 3d printing W202 C36 tow hook covers and fog light delete panels called Heavy Foot Works. If these bumpers use C36 fogs than the delete covers are a inexpensive work around.

Moderator edit: The C36 fogs are the same shape as the W124 Gen2 bumper lights, so the delete panels should fit OK.

Man youve been great help I really appreciate it. I just ordered the bumper from my local MB ended up $1550. Ill def order a new impact strip for thst price. The fog light wont bother me if there aftermarket. My main thing was the bumper for fitment issues. Im certain the aftermarket duraflex/fiberglass stuff will need mods snd fab work to fit perfect. So Im def lucky to have been able to find it original, I wasnt expecting to find this new. I was expecting used parts. Which still beat the cheap aftermarket. Now I need the side skirts and rear bumper.

Octoclassic.com 3D prints the two hook cover for this bumper. I’ll update thread in a few days when I get some other parts from them as to quality.

I’ve seen some people using lights from a Mazda that are cheap. @speedy300dturbo knows the model? Might be better than cover plates?

GSXR, I didn’t know the impact strip was available?? It wasn’t last year then I ordered the bumper 🥹

E500E impact strips are NLA.

The standard 124 front impact stript (in primer) is showing available at MBCC. Was p/n 124-885-14-21 NLA last year?

Do they sell it smooth without the plate?

Nope. You have to buy the blank filler panel separately... also NLA but a replica is available on eBay for $220 (click here).

The license plate filler panel is still available new, p/n 124-885-27-23-9999, $65 MSRP. You want one of those too so it can be painted with everything else, then stored in case you (or a future owner) ever need to mount a front license plate.

Alternately, you mount a European plate to fill that space, as shown below.

Very Nice. I like the euro plate look, thatll mount right to the impact bumper strip correct? Or i still need an additional adapter?
Great to speak with someone knowledgeable with this cars.

Ah, thanks Dave. I wish I knew lol.

The Body shop was able to strip and repaint the original thankfully.

The small /////AMG logo for the center of bumper lip was still available last year. Hoped still is.

I definitely prefer the Euro plate option on front bumper 😊

The blank filler panel, and/or license plate bracket, both require metal mounting rail 1248850921 plus 4 short mounting screws. The plastic panels slip into the metal rail, and then attach with 4 more (longer) screws.

I'm not familiar with the Euro license plate mounting details but it appears mounting bracket 1248851023 would be recommended, although it should be possible to attach the license plate directly to the impact strip? Maybe? Or there might be an aftermarket bracket. Forum members in Europe can probably provide more specifics. I've never mounted a Euro plate.

:tumble:

Cant make out the part number. Does anyone know if this will work on 95 cabrio. And what gen it is? I think its gen 1 but not 100% sure

Will the gen 1 and gen 2 amg kits fit a 95 e320 cabrio?? Thanks in advance
Front & rear bumpers are the same for all sedan, coupé, and cabrio. The wagon uses a different rear bumper, and the coupé/cabrio use different (shorter) side skirts. So, it depends which specific parts you want to fit on your cabrio.

Can't tell for sure but that may be a "Gen Zero" kit, very early AMG component. Note the "Type C7xxxx" number which is typically found on the mid-80's stuff. 90's will have the accessory kit format B66xxxx. The HWA-xxx numbers are specific to each component of the kit.

Note that for a 1995 cabrio, or any facelift car (1994-up USA model year), only the Gen 2 components are "correct" and will match the facelift vehicle body. Gen 1 kits belong on 1990-1993 models, and Gen 0 are for 1989 and older.
