It was Hartmut Feyhl who wrote that serial numbers of M117 DOHC didn't necessarily begin with number 1.
200 or even 100 were the first. He couldn't exactly remember.

But now i find this 0101 number. It belongs to a 8/1993 C140 AMG 7.0.
Can it be AMG started serial numbers for M120 with 0100 or 0101?

I think this only goes up for M120 LH-Jetronic versions.
Number 0046 for example belongs to a 2/1996 SL70 AMG HMS ME.

Chassis WDB1400571A329972 with 0067 (7.0 470 PS) at first had 0074 (6.0 440 PS)?
Interesting. This i did not know.
That's a fairly small power gain for the 1 liter displacement increase.

6.0 - 440ps = 73.33ps / liter
7.0 - 470ps = 67.14ps / liter

The torque difference should be substantial though.
