Baby Car Seat

The middle of the car has the roll top console and is bulged, so there's no way that will work. Plus, I am getting a daughter in a month, so I need 2 car seats so they have to go on either side in the "seats"

The thing stopping me from doing that same thing where I would need the hold is that they would interfere with the headrest retract mechanism. Basically it would need to be dead center in the middle of that. I am exploring a few more options. Will let you know how it foes

Sorry! Took off my .036 / 124sportline hat for a minute there...

I was dealing with this topic over the weekend and actually came to this thread as I finally put a "convertible" seat in my 036 for my 15 month old.....cannot recommend the britax clicktight line enough, it basically takes all of the guess work out and has the highest safety rating out there by just using the seatbelt and it doesn't even matter that our belts can't be locked out "pre crash" (it doesn't even have latch system on it as an option) it's very easy to install and gets super tight.....mine literally will not budge a mm

For mine I have a seat saver but to protect the seat better I additionally folded a bath towel over several times to make a square about 4-5layers thick and same size as seat protector bottom and placed between the underside of the protector and the seat, i then velcro'd the towel to the seat protector to keep it from wiggling while I was installing everything and getting tight, but now it's all held in place by pressure anyway. Result is that I was able to get it in rock solid tight without having massive compression of my seat bottom since the towel absorbs most of the compression and offers an additional layer of cushioning. In my w123 I still left Indentations on the seat even with a seat saver so wanted more cushion for the 036 to avoid that......guess I get a little carried away with getting it in real tight

I bought the boulevard clicktight for the 036 (it's mid tier model) vs bought the advocate clicktight for my wife's ml (highest end one - basically just more padding but heavy and bulky to fit in a sedan)

Below is link to it, with a quick vid on how the install works (I have it facing fwd....my kid is huge and can't fit backwards anymore)....the Blvd is available on Amazon prime for 270 and change vs 360 at retail in brick and mortar joints:

Hope this helps someone

I got the boulevard clicktight for my E550 per your recommendation. Easy to install and as you say it's super tight. It set me back $290 on Amazon Prime so I should have pulled the trigger earlier to get the $270 price in your post.
