Let us know how the HP boost is.

It’s supposed to be pretty tangible (according to RT) when used with their HP chip.

Is that ductape on your intake tubes? Hopefully the peanut gallery guys don’t spot this ....

After selling our daily ml350 and our summer R129 we picked up a Iridium Silver 2007 e350 4matic. The car is awesome previously owned by a Mercedes Tech in Naperville IL so everything is up to date with 93k on the car.

Put some yellow laminex on both the cars to prevent further rock chips on the lenses and because I like the euro yellow look.

Oh and to answer your question it is not ductape, it is Titanium heat wrap and is meant to help reduce heat in the engine compartment mainly used on headers but I have not tested it nor do I care to test it. It is mainly for aesthetics for me. Thanks for noticing though =)

So im getting ready to go to a euro car show in Holland MI tomorrow and so I started with remounting my amp . Well that led to me cleaning out my battery tray area. And then that all took like 4 hours haha.

My JL audio amp was mounted to my subwoofer which was not a good idea since if you get a flat tire you would need to disconnect all the wires to take the sub out. Its not very heavy to begin with.

I started messing with the cd changer and noticed that my amp is nearly the same size as it. So that got me thinking [emoji848].

I removed the cd changer to find these awesome brackets on the side. I then took apart my amp marked the bracket holes. I had to get longer bolts then the existing ones as the amp was slightly smaller. I had to make sure the bolts when fed through did not touch or damage any internal components of the amp.

The required size of tap is 8/32 after you drill your holes. I used 2 nuts as spacers and a crush washer for each bolt a total of four holding the bracket into place. Once I finished that the amp slides into the factory mounted bracket and looks factory !

Love the way this worked out.

I has to disconnect the battery to mess with the amp etc. So I am very happy as to how minimal the corrosion was in my tray area. I scrapped off the lose debri. Grinded down the corrosion. Cleaned that off. Then I let the corrosive cleaner and preventative sit for about 30 min and cleaned that off.

i cleaned the rubber drain plugs from debree.
Also cleaned out the tray itself as it had minimal corrosion I did not want to respray it. I just coated it with preventative corrosion spray after grinding off any rust.

I then sealed it with automotive silicone and put eveything back together.

Hey guys just added a new car to the family

A 1987 Porsche 944S 59k 5speed

I was tired of Gerry hassling me about porsche parts on my E500 so I fitted a E500 coolant reservoir cap on the 944 worked perfectly [emoji6] haha

Two things:

1) pics or the Benz part on the 944 didn’t happen

2) that cap is going to ruin the engine because it’s a different pressure spec than the Porsche cap. This will cause the engine to overheat & cylinder head to warp, due to the pressure differential from spec.

I did temporarily use it for a test drive and it fit right on ill snap a pic tmrw.

Oem one on the way. =)

BTW @Benz FYI for next time - you might want to consider using a different grade of oil than 0W-40. This is what the manual recommends (which is thicker than 0W)...
