Buying a 500E - PPI near Pasadena, CA?

Hi, I’m in the process of buying a 500e with 50,000 miles in the Los Angeles area. I’d like to have the car checked out does anybody recommend a mechanic in the Pasadena California area? And I called Mercedes restorations in orange county and they wanted $3000 for a full inspection. That’s a little much. Thanks wolf.

For 3 grand i will organize Höllscher himself coming to States to inspect the car....

$3k? ROTFL. Yeah, you need to look elsewhere. That could also be the "we don't want your business" price. There are quite a few forum members in SoCal, I'm sure some of them can suggest shops around LA. @captruff, @Glen, etc.

Remember that low miles doesn't guarantee a problem-free car. Don't be surprised if there is $5k or more in unexpected deferred maintenance. The car should be in excellent cosmetic condition though.

Mr MB Motors in Reseda, owner is Maz. Honest operation. Also Nelson at Boulevard Auto (Van Nuys)...less thrilled w them but they did do the PPI on my car a few years ago and did fine.

That's a ridiculous price. Are they buying a share in the car?
