Anyone knows what SA-code 032 is referring to? I ran into this question recently for a E 500 Ltd (see attached). Some VIN-decoders say: 032 = Control code for vehicle production (see attached lastVIN.com). But what would that be? Another VIN-decoder (MB-VIN) is not listing it as such, but mentions it under "special equipment" (see attached).

Other Vin-decoders say: 032 = Taiwan Autom Transmission (Noice Test all vehicles) or (in German) Taiwan Autom.Getriebe Geräusch Massnahme). But that looks probably like a decoding systems bug, as elsewhere I found that only to be valid after June 1996. Besides: these cars were either Netherlands or German ordered vehicles that have never been in Taiwan, and have nothing to do with that country.

I found that mysterious 032 code also (for example) in WDB1240361C189267 and WDB1240361C165276, both German-delivered E60 vehicles (both of which are already in the AMG 957-code VIN-listings on this forum).

Any (German) M-B (ex-)employee out here that can shed any light on this mysterious 032 code?

Code 032 = "TAIWAN WITH AUTO. TRANSM. (NOISE TEST ALL MODELS) ", but as you noted above, this was only as of June 19, 1996... after this vehicle was produced.

Unfortunately I don't see any other information related to code 032 that would be valid for 1994/1995 vintage production.
