The last GTG in SoCal for our E500Es was in 2013 at Captruff’s parking lot in So. Orange County. We had I believe 22 124.036s in that meeting. It’s been crickets around here ever since.
During this long sabbatical, I’ve only seen Glen when he drove up from Carlsbad and graciously helped me (actually he did most of the work) with installing a new fan clutch on my 500E when I was still recovering from surgery. It was great to see an old friend after that long of a period.
Since that time I’ve been to Captruff’s once for a visit. There I met two young guys (SoCal210 was one of them). enthusiastically working on a 190-2.3.
Edit: I’ve also met with @luckymike a few times when he came down from NorCal for a stay in NewPorsche Beach. We both had something in common outside of cars to talk about. Although I did get to see his beautiful SEC.
It’s been to long and I’m looking forward to this C&C this upcoming Saturday. I hope some other SoCal 500E500 members will join me.
Supposedly, There is 118 cars registered for the Classic Center’s C&C. I’m registered as one of them.
I tried to get a look at the “who’s going list” by getting a password but it kept kicking me out. I don’t want an MBCCA membership so I’ll just wait and be surprised.
I plan to be there in my 124 Terry. I hope others on here come as well. I almost never see any 036s at these events and being at the classic center there should be a good variety of cars.

@JTY "Jouser"@socal210,
I’m off the 22 Frwy and Magnolia and had planed on just going alone. It’s only about a 15 minute drive for me.
If you take the 5 Frwy to the 22 Frwy west about what time will you be passing the Magnolia off ramp? If you get off and go to the Starbucks parking lot on Magnolia and Trask I could meet up with you. It’s right back on the 22 Frwy from the Starbucks parking lot.
The Taking I-5 will be out of the way from MV - I'll get on the 405 by the Spectrum.
I can meet @socal210 at 7am at our meeting spot and we can meet you @TerryA at Lollipop Dental (right off the freeway) at 7:20am: up to a 4-car CONVOY!
Lollipop Dental - Garden Grove, 12777 Valley View St #222, Garden Grove, CA 92845

Look at how thick the doors and glass are. Next time someone claims their dual pane glass in their w140 is bullet proof show them these pictures.

Took some pictures in the front of the building. Someone drove by and said it was like a before and after, which is true since that is how my car looked before I did everything to it.
Took PCH back and caused a lot of sore necks
Really good turnout for this event. There was another 2 500Es I saw there one in red and one in silver, wish there would be more turnout from this group. Tomorrow is State of Speed where MB is the featured marque. I will be taking my W210 there.
@socal210 I found the video got up on Youtube recommendation, really enjoyed every seconds of it.
Also had a glimpse of @TerryA and his gorgeous 500E! Awesome stuff.
