This recomendation was originaly printed in the UK Mercedes Benz club magazine
Having missed out on the group buy a few years back I was looking for a solution
for the damper strut for an armrest lid

The strut I had had lost all pressure and could be moved in and out with no resistance.
The work was done the day the firm received the strut and it was posted out that evening
The total cost was just over £18 this included UK VAT at 20% and 24 hour tracked return
postage via Royal Mail

The strut is now solid only time will tell how it holds up but it was not a lot to spend
I did ask if they could source a new replacement but they said no

The details are:

SGS ENGINEERING UK LTD
1 WEST SIDE PARK BELMORE WAY
RAYNESWAY ALVASTON
DERBY DE21 7AZ
Tel 01332 576850

That is incorrect information. That vendor just add up to the number of low grade aftermarket sellers flooding the internet with all kind of misleading information. The header text on the product says; Stabilus gas spring, mid consoll 2575BN, but further down it says; Mercedes-Benz boot lid damper (gas spring). And next they say it's for W124 and W140 models, but those models use regular springs on the lid.
