E420, 5.0, 6-speed swapped, 3:07 posi

Well, I just bought this car.
A young Mechanic & Mercedes enthusiast built it as his dream a few years ago. Unfortunately, he has cancer, has to sell some stuff. I gave him his full price. It was on the BC Mainland, I live on Vancouver Island.
It's been sitting for some time. I went to pick it up Wednesday, but (I think) fuel system issues, I didn't get far. So, BCAA towed to a friends shop, to get it running enough to get it home.
It's still a bit of a project. Some dash lights and functions not working, some oil & exhaust leaks & misc.
It's on genuine Evo wheels. Spare 6-speed and a lot of new parts in the trunk.
There's a spare 5 litre to pick up later.
I'll get it home in the next few weeks, but probably will be a few months before I do anything with it.
When I heard about it, just said hell- yeah, basically bought sight unseen.
In months to come will update.

Hopefully that's a 3.06 differential (210mm), not a 3.07 (185mm)... but, 5.0L with 6-speed stick should be fun!

It might be. I think he did say 3:06. I was thinking of my W124 Coupe with 3:07

Yes, he used Kangaroos parts for the adapters etc. Engine from a W140 - he used it's control module too. Transmission from a C-Class. I'm not sure what the diff is from.
I didn't get any documents, just a verbal overview

As soon as I get a chance to drive it a bit, will let you know LOL!
It broke down on the way home, it's at a friend's shop on the Mainland (I'm on Vancouver Island).
We think fuel issue.
(It's been sitting for some time, as the PO / builder is quite ill.)
