I’ve been following the graph of recently sold E500E’s and have seen this community really weigh in on what a good and bad car looks like. Ive read a lot of these treads and watched as many videos on w124/E500E that I could find. I now have a pretty good gauge on what a red flag looks like with these vehicles and what to look over when shopping. I am open to any sort of advice or tips or if anyone has any leads to someone looking to sell let me know. Thanks in advance!

Looking for a daily driver. I am trying to find a solid 500E (any year really) that has a good service history or at least some sort of evidence that it has been well maintained. I’m not too concerned with mileage if it’s been well maintained.

Hoping to find one for sale in the $20k-$30k range that needs the usual restorations that I can do myself and have a total cost of under $35k when it’s all said and done. Im not too interested in some of the more rare option for this car as it will be a daily driver for me so a simple stock 500e with the standard options is great. Preferably in black or silver and black or tan interior which seems to be the most common.

Sounds like you have a solid grasp of the market and ballpark pricing. You should be able to find what you are looking for, probably with higher miles (but well maintained / good history), in the $30k ballpark. Smart move to budget at least $5k for DIY deferred maintenance post-purchase (double that if you have to pay a shop).

Welcome to the forum!

Prior history on this car is located in this thread:

Yes, that is the one. I bought it from Florida in end of the March,2022. Never registered in IL. Kept in the garage and was taken out only to wash. That’s why the temp tag. Florida Title is with me, can transfer on my name overnight. If necessary

Thank you both for the info! I’ll go through all of this shortly. Are you able to do a video walk through with me to go over the car?
