Febi flex discs

Hi,
I have bought two febi flex discs and they are different. Both are sgf, made in germany, gad 138.

I wanted to finish my work on the driveshaft this weekend, but i think that i have to change one back at the shop on Monday.
Which one would you recommend me to change? (I have preference to keep the one which has no holes as it is like the original....)
Thank you in advance.

As a non engineer lay person, I'd opt for solid since I have seen them shredded. Perhaps wisdom from Klink will chime in...

If circle diameter from opposing side bore is the same, bore diameter, total thickness of bore-inserts, etc is the same you can use both.
I have used a FEBI Flex Disc in my CL55 AMG and it holds since the third year now. It was also one from SGF (MB Flexdisc OEM) but for approx 1/3 price. Maybe it did not match Mb quality recommendations, but it looked perfect from all sides and measurements. Sometimes you can have luck with FEBI

FEBI = Russian Roulette. However they do seem to re-box the SGF flex discs from what I have seen.

Yes. I got lucky with Febi motor mounts for the 140 recently. I paid less than one half of dealer net. They were perfect, exact OE Boge with the stars ground off...

Thank you for your comments. I will try to change back for the solid design. If it does not work, i will let them as it is...

It would care as long as it's a SGF made part. I think you can put the one which has a little more flexibility @ transmission.

The end of the story is that i couldn't change it back, so i used the solid for the rear, the other to the front. The disc with the holes was a piece of crap. As Gerry said, russian roulette, the solid version was perfect and this one useless.

Just curious, what was the issue with the disc with holes?

:detective:

When i was putting the screws at their place the last two were already very difficult to manage. They did'nt fit properly, i had to hammer (not gorilla, but still), bad sign, scary... then, the steel lips of the disc did'nt enter completely on the flange, i thightened the screws as i could.
When i started the engine and check what is happening to the drive shaft i could see that the result was a nightmare. The trans, drive shaft were limbo dancing.
I am not sure that this is because of the design, i might received a bad product...
