500E Floor Mats

Hello, I just realized 1 of my rear seat floor mats looks different than the other side so I am wondering if anyone knows if any of these floor mats are authentic MB mats. Have not found any mercedes logo or P/N on them. If they all are fakes and not made for the 500E what is my best chance of finding new ones that fit and look like OEM? Or can I still buy new ones from MB? Thanks in advance!

Those mats do NOT appear to be correct for a W124 sedan. The shape appears incorrect for all four of the mats. I wonder if those are for a LHD vehicle? The driver mat appears to be almost a mirror image of RHD. :blink:

AFAIK, Mercedes never offered any "authentic" floor mats. In the USA, these mats were produced by a third party (Lloyd?) under license for MB USA and sold as an accessory with B6- part number through USA dealers. The dealer mats in USA had the MB Star logo on them. I'm not sure how this was handled in Europe.

Sample photo below of the USA dealer mats... note these are for 6-cyl sedans/wagons, and the rear mats are backwards (left/right in the wrong position).

So what is my best option to get as close to oem mats as possible? Is there any company that sells black floor mats in the correct shape and size both for the front and back seats for the 500E?

I believe Coco mats are the best option to get something that will fit correctly? The V8 rear mats are different (slightly smaller) vs 6-cyl.

Cocos aren't cheap though.

So Coco have the correct shape and size even in the backseats?

I *think* so. Hopefully a forum member with a 400E / 500E and Coco mats can confirm...

@gerryvz ? @nocfn ? @svhamelly ? @Type5314 ?

To fit properly, the rear mats should be 100% flat without any corner being pushed up by the transmission tunnel. The USA dealer mats (now NLA) do NOT fit correctly in the rear of the 400E/500E.

:apl:

Wow these Coco mats looks high quality. What material would you say looks most like oem? black wool?
