Interesting wheels, I did not know AMG made wheels like this, they look good. The silver engine cover is also something I have not seen before.

Nice looking car BUT I’m partial to 040. Something about that polished up black paint that just turns me on. It may be swaying my judgement on this car. I think I like the wheels.

Car has a lot of mods. Probably while in Japan. Facelift front, Grill painted black, Silver painted air box and valve covers (missing Yellow Hi-Volts sticker) SL multi-spoke wheels. After market cats and exhaust, AMG suspension ect;

I’m always amazed how nobody shows pi’s of the driver’s seat bolster. Being from Japan I would wonder what kind of records it has.

Still, I like the car but it’s far from OEM.

It has US style hvac controls. I personally don't like the silver engine cover, but I like the wheels (sort of).

I've always thought the SL55 wheels were the only non period wheels that looked good on an 036. They remind me a bit of an older spoke wheel which looked good on anything in their time.
