This 1993 500E is a desirable German market car that has remained in Europe since new. It was specified with Anthracite grey metallic paintwork with a black leather interior. It had the usual high specification including electric, heated front seats, air conditioning, electric rear blind, fire extinguisher and cruise control amongst the full list of options detailed below.

It was first registered in early 1993 by Autohaus Nold GMBH near Frankfurt and remained in Germany until 2000 before coming to the UK. The first owner in the UK kept the car for fifteen years between his house in France and the UK. There have been two subsequent owners. In total, 198k KM have been covered, equivalent to a very reasonable 123k miles.

The car comes with all original books and manuals and a Full Service History comprising of 24 stamps in the service book (from MB main dealers and specialists in Germany, France and the UK) and a substantial folder containing all paperwork and receipts from its UK ownership along with previous MoTs. This car has evidently been extremely well looked after as the history attests. Importantly in 2010 the engine wiring harness was replaced and recently all fluids and filters have been changed, including the gearbox and differential, alongside regular servicing. HPI clear with certificate.

Very original with correct pre-facelift amber indicators, grill and eight-hole wheels. So many of these early cars were ‘face-lifted’ by previous owners and fitted with aftermarket parts/wheels etc. It’s great to see one looking as it should.
The only deviations from standard are the fitment of a modern stereo with hands free, but the original Becker Mexico comes with the car to be refitted if required. And a beautifully made and refreshingly subtle complete stainless steel exhaust has been fitted, that comes with a 25-year guarantee.

As the photos show this 500E is in beautiful condition throughout. The body is superb, the original wheels wear matching Michelin tyres all round and the interior is unmarked.
Having driven this car over several hundred miles, we’re pleased to report it drives absolutely beautifully – taught, refined and a fabulous machine to cross country at speed.

To sum up, this Euro-market 500E has superb condition, provenance and history. In the ever-rising market of the increasingly collectable 500E/E500, it’s a great opportunity to own one of these iconic sports saloons at a very sensible price.

All 1990-up 124's should have body-colored door mirror covers.

Car looks nice, bummer about the aftermarket muffler though. And the fire extinguisher carpet is definitely non factory.
