Re: E60 Limited in Germany, Germancar.net

Interesting that this car has NO AMG markings anywhere (airbox, ashtray, muffler tips, etc.).

Re: E60 Limited in Germany, Germancar.net

I know this car... 1 owner ( second one didn´t register a car all those years). Everything is original- no badges was a wish of a first owner. German car, not swiss, not japanese.
Price will be mindblowing :D

I want this car industrial-strength bad. And what a joy it would be to purchase a car like this and not have to spend the first day getting every badge off of it. I've got a serious man crush on the first owner right now...

That's pity, because the emblems suits very well on an E60 AMG in my opinion. The lid emblems is still available, but the airfilter box is NLA and reeeealy hard to find now, even the separate AMG badges for it are non-existing. The AMG muffler shows up from time to time on eBay.

Yes, the price will be steap, but this is at least an untouched E60 AMG Limited, compared to the body kit wrapped one over in UK at a cosmic price.
This car is so nice!!

Good point, Arnt.
Despite my intense fetish for de-badging any highline Benz, I would have definitely left the under hood and interior badges intact...

Klink, to my knowledge it is no specific interior badge in the E60 AMG or Limited. But if you refer to that shown in the image, it is an aftermarket decal.

But if you happen to know anything about the other badge, which is in my Limited, so please chime in!
I can't claim it is OEM, but it looks very OEM, but I have to date never seen it anywhere else.

How cool is it that the owners manual holder matches the interior?
Love this car!

Poor you :D
Orignal, placed like first owner wanted, know it for sure.

Every Limited has matching ( grey, red or green) OM. Always.

Re: E60 Limited in Germany, Germancar.net

Hmmmm. .. I'm not sure i would want that interior badge anyway :?

Same dealer where Revox got his E60 from if I'm not mistaken. Or was it Moselmanns now Dortmunder's ? Maybe even both cars ?

Whoa! Cracked right side dash nozzle! There's a dealbreaker. I'll come over and get it for $18K just to bail them out of this thing 'cause I'm a nice guy...

I don't know a thing about those interior badges, Arnt. I have only seen them in photos. I would definitely share information on them if I had any.

A billion thanks for that information, Arkady!! :triumphant:

I have been ruminating about that emblem since I bought the car 7.5 years ago - that was relieving...:relieved:

Re: E60 Limited in Germany, Germancar.net

So where is this interior "E500 Limited" badge originally placed then ? Arnt's is on centre console near gear lever , Arkady's known car on passenger side below vent . :? And so many don't have it like the E60 above ?

Could it be that it was presented in a case like a medal and it was the owners choice to place it ? :jono:

Re: E60 Limited in Germany, Germancar.net

Found maybe a Hint... here is a Letter from AMG to new Owner. It says- here are some Stikers for yours 6 liter E500....
So maybe a Limited Badge went same way?

WTF?!:shocking: That is for my 6.0 AMG conversion!
How has that come out on internet?

Revoxs' car came from GermanCar.net, and Dortmunders (previously Mosselmanns) car came from Bernard Weiss.

Bing, I guess the emblem preference is just like wheels, very individual. I am in fact not a fan of emblems, and not to mention decals!! But sometimes I find it correct too, as with the E60 AMG trunk lid emblems and airbox emblems.

You have an interesting point about that Limited emblem during handover, maybe it was that way. However, my Limited emblem will be removed when I refurbish the wood panels at some point, and I give it a more anonymous location in the car.

Re: E60 Limited in Germany, Germancar.net

No idea, saw it already long time ago.

Germancar.net is Bernard Weiss :D:D

Ehh...fatal "silicon brain syndrome" occurrence, sorry - I was mixing with Auto Leitner.

Deserved - definitely!!
...but it must be the only mistake I've ever done - can't recall any other... :loony:

Asking price 115.000 Euro.

500AMM- have you got my PM?

Re: E60 Limited in Germany, Germancar.net

Hi in the Forum,

my car came from Mosselmann who bought the car at GermanCar.
Bernard Weiss helped me to Reimport the car back to Germany what was very difficult to save the tax.

Enclosed a Picture of my car which shows the badge on top of the middle console.

Thanks for the info, Karsten! And it adds up on the fact that this is an OEM badge for the Limited.:banana2:

I see you have a casette rack in lieu of the ashtray. In case you're missing the stock ashtray, you find one here:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/ASCHENBECHER-KOMPLETT-FUR-MERCEDES-W124-VOGELAUGE-AMG-NEU-/400460977211?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item5d3d55943b

I bought the rear mid console jalousie from hpw.cardesign, and I can confirm it is an OEM BEM (birds eye maple) part.

Cheers

Re: E60 Limited in Germany, Germancar.net

Just to let you know, that the car was sold just before Christmas.
I do not know the price but it looks like that the buyer payed almost the asking price.

Happy New Year
