Re: New 18”x8.5 and 18”x9.5 NEEZ Euro Six FS

Buyee is probably the worst broker to use for expensive or large items like wheels, bumpers, etc. from Japan. They charge high fees and really inflate the shipping costs from Japan to you, not to mention they tweak the exchange rates in their favor to further screw you. When buying through their proxy site, you'll need to make payment in USD via Paypal, but the USD figure is what they decide the exchange rate is, NOT the standard forex rate. At the time I'm typing this post, 345,000 JPY should be $3043.28 USD. Buyee uses their own rate and somehow that becomes $3143!

The previous owner of my car bought a set five years ago to what looks to be Y363,000, all in, delivered. I bet this is being offered through the yahoo auction site by the manufacturer directly (see the sender contact info).

BTW - for future reference for the board members - do you have any recommendations on a good broker to use for items like this? (I have no personal experience importing stuff from Japan. -- and fwiw, I am not going to buy another set. :-) I stumbled across these looking for my own holy grail - the 18" Rial ARC wheels.)

Jlaa, about the Grail... aren't the Rial ARC's only available in 8.0" wide, and ET35 offset? That would require at least a 20mm hubcentric spacer to not look funny. (I vaguely recall they aren't lightweight either, but I'm not sure.)

Indeed. I would love to 3D scan them or otherwise have them cut and welded (yes, cast aluminum) to a wider, say, 9.0 or 8.5" wheel rim.
I had this done a super long time ago to a TRX wheel. I wanted to keep the original wheel look, so I had a set of Citroen TRX wheels cut and welded onto a 15" rim. It was very satisfactory.

I believe you have the Holy Grail wheels mounted on your car.:)

Ohhhh! Now THAT would be sweeeeet. Especially if the offset could be corrected at the same time!
