SOLD: Period AMG / Luisi all burlwood steering wheel

Note on fitment: This item has no airbag so is only suitable for early w124 / 500E models which came with no Airbag from factory.

Offered for sale is a period Italian made Luisi Steering Wheel in excellent condition. Wood has zero cracks and is in excellent condition with serious shine but it does have small signs of wear – remember it is a 30+ year old part. Complete with Boss - this is direct bolt on to a w124!

This is from my E36 AMG project car. I bought this wheel within Europe a few years ago and it had been fitted but zero miles driven. It is being sold now as I have since located a correct dark blue colour leather sportline wheel for the E36 and installed it. Hence this wheel is now surplus and someone else should enjoy it.

Very rare item - and almost impossible to find all original in such good condition! Asking £345 GBP + Shipping. Item is located in Ireland / UK. I ship worldwide. PM if interested and thanks for looking!

Bump - still available. This is s 500E board special price. (Also listed on eBay for much higher price)

I understand why you correctly imply that this non-airbag wheel will not replace an airbag wheel AND still allow one to have a working steering wheel airbag...

But it is quite easy to eliminate an airbag and "satisfy" the SRS control module (i.e. no SRS light illumination with working passenger airbag if present, and working pretensioners) with the correct value resistor securely physically and electrically bridged across the airbag lead connector.

I can't remember the value of the resistor (?15 ohms...); I did this same mod on my coupe 3 years ago when I ditched my pass side airbag for a proper glove box. Should be easy to find the value via a properly focused search, and the electrical work is trivial for any DIYer.

I would ditch the driver one and modify as above as well without hesitation if there was a good enough reason. For me, this wheel isn't quite it, but...

Airbags?...I don't need no stinkin' airbags.

Hi - yes thanks for the input. Of course it is quite easy to bypass an airbag. But I was not suggesting that someone remove a good working airbag to install this steering wheel. Thus in my opinion it is ideally suited for a non airbag car

Hi JC220.
What's the diameter of the wheel ?
Thanks.

I would check that but I'm actually in Oslo Norway at the moment I'm sorry. It also appears someone has agreed to pay for it just now - waiting on PayPal to show.

EDIT - Sold! Thanks
