FOR SALE FS: Sportline steering wheel (390mm) with airbag

I have a sportline steering wheel (390mm) for sale, from a 1994 W124, complete with airbag. Intended to put it on my 1994 E420 which was totaled last year and I don't have any further need to hold onto it. As you can see the leather could use refinishing, though it will work fine as is. As far as I recall, all the internals are complete for a direct swap, though I am sure the steering wheel gurus on this board could give you further information.

I have the matching airbag, which came with the steering wheel when I purchased it.

Asking price $450 + shipping (ground). Not sure I could ship overseas due to the airbag.

Please let me know if you have further questions, thanks!

The spiral clockspring is only used on 1994-up models and it attaches to the steering column, which is why you don't see it on this steering wheel.

1993 and older models use a contact ring (squibb) that attaches to the steering wheel. If you have a 91-93 1992-1993 car, you'll need to swap your existing contact ring (from the old steering wheel) on to this steering wheel. W124 US model years 1986-1991 use a different squibb that is not compatible with 1992-up steering wheels, as shown in this photo.

I know this particular post is old and I don't want to nit pick, but the squibb date range is 92-93.

As far as I remember, the steering wheel I bought and am selling here came from a 1994 sportline model (bought off German ebay). so it should fit any other 1994 w124 model.

Thanks!
Michel

Rik, you are 100% correct. I have updated the previous post with the correct years. Thanks for catching this!
