NOTE OF CLARIFICATION: This harness is appropriate for all 1993 and 1994 E320 models (sedan, coupe, cabriolet and wagon), with VIN number up to last seven digits ending in C179243, and using the 3.2-liter M104 engine (104.992).

This harness is for cars produced through approximately August, 1994. If your car's VIN ends in 179243 or earlier, then this harness will work fine.

If your car's VIN ends in 179244 or later, then this is NOT the correct harness, and you will need MB part number 124 440 29 33.

If your car has an M103 engine (a 300E, etc.) or is a pre-1993 model year car, then this harness is not appropriate.

Jeff: OK you got a sale. Just checked the EPC notes and read Gerry's posting and this is the part for my '94 E320 M104.992. Confirm its still for sale and I'll send the PP.

captruff, if you have another one I'd bet that Mr. dedmon will take it off your hands.

Also, for the record, as of now, this harness that captruff is selling for the 1993 and 1994 E320 cars, IS AVAILABLE from MB, with US list price of $1,470 (around $1,100 from the usual discounters).

The later part number for the 1995 model year six-cylinder cars, 124 440 29 33, IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM MB.

Pretty sure 1996/1997 and up are OK. Easy enough to tell from an eyeball check, you'll know if they are disintegrating.
