Future AMG GT 4 Door?

I thought they had learned their lesson with their EQ designs which emulate a strategically shaved piece of soap on wheels and accordingly nobody is buying. This has to be the ugliest concept car MB has ever done

Maybe driving a fugly car is a new fad and I’m just missing it. Some of the rear ends from a few manufacturers are just painful.

Mercedes AMG GT
Ferrari Daytona SP3
McLaren Speedtail
Pagani Utopia
De Tomaso P72

I firmly believe the fugly look on modern cars was started by BMW’s grille…that only a pig would appreciate.

I live very close to Beverly Hills, which my girlfriend likes to visit on the weekends. You can see just about any car there. She is always surprised how many people are taking pictures of my car when we are driving through to park in the garage and how many compliments my car gets. This past weekend, a guy parking his Bugatti Chiron in the same garage was walking around my car taking pictures and told me how much he liked my car. He also knew that it was an 036. Told me “They don’t make them this good anymore”.

I have such a hard time falling for EVs. I had a VW Id Buzz as a company car, I returned it after 10k km’s. Quiet smooth ride. But it needs a charge all the time, I just got so tired of the constant charging.

I live in Sweden and our charging infrastructure is probably really good comparatively, it’s not the grid, it’s the cars that’s the problem.

Returned to diesel VW Transporter, it needs a ”charge” once a week tops and it takes 5 minutes if I get an ice cream too.

Wake me up when EV’s do 800 km’s on one charge that took 5 minutes without an app, a membership, waiting in line, charging cable that’s stuck etc etc.

We can’t transition to EV’s if they’re less convenient than what we have today.

And I can’t see myself buying a enthusiast car that’s an EV ever.

Everything’s computer!! is not what I think is fun, and that’s the key for me, not clout, not flipping, not status, not bragging, not 0-60, not what the neighbours think, but just fun. And fun is loud, smelly, quirky, charming, for me.

That’s means something needs to go bang. Moving electrons from a to b, I might as well just turn on the heater in my garage with a beer in hand. 🤣

All of the above but particularly the bold bit, my car is loud and my garage always seems to have a faint lingering smell of burnt oil or fuel or something. I can't describe it exactly but it always brings a smile to my face when I pop out to grab a tool or something and I catch it in my nose...
