I realize you're looking for a genuine Mercedes version, but you do know that the exact same item is still available from Covercraft, don't you?

They cost about $68 without the storage bag.

I've had these for several different Mercedes models and they are quite nice. A definite requirement for living in Florida.

These have been NLA from MB so long, it will be a serious needle-in-haystack trying to locate an MB-branded one.

As Dan said, the OEM version from Covercraft (model UVS100) is identical, but minus the MB logo. That's what I buy now. Note their catalog is absolutely terrible and they assign a unique part number to almost every year / model, making it a chore to determine which is correct. And, I think the coupe/cabrio shades are an inch or two shorter, so be careful not to accidentally pick one of those... they work but don't cover as much of the glass.

BTW - from memory, the best pricing was either from Amazon, or Summit Racing. But you need to look up the part number first. Last time I bought from Summit they were $53 each, I bought 2 shades and got free shipping as well.

:seesaw:

I bought a sunshade off ebay some years ago and it was similar to the MB one. It folds and came with a black bag for storage. I have been satisfied with it:

Agree, the Covercraft shades are identical to the MB branded ones that are NLA. I got one for my W211

Yes, I understand, and I did order one last night from Covercraft (the folded silver one) directly, because they are not available on Amazon right now. It was $20 more, at $86, but I did manage to use a coupon (FREESHIP) which removed the $15 shipping fee.

I just would like to have an MB branded one to go with the car for posterity.

I just used their vehicle finder system to come up with 500E. Should be no confusion there, I wouldn't think.

They both look great. I really like the winter reversible feature of the first. Should I cancel my Covercraft order and go for one of these for any reason? Are you suggesting that? I need more info on whether they are truly W124 customized.

The ebay one that I have is customized to the w124 but my sense is .. Just stick with what you bought. No FOBO allowed (Fear of Better Options.) :-)
