500E Head Gasket Failure

Hi all.
After 2 years of knowing this was looming, ive finally had the head gaskets done on my car.
The symptoms were slight loss of water now and then , but not enough to cause concern.
It had not been used much since December, and i believe this long period of inactivity allowed the water to seep into the cylinder.
My car starts up on low voltage, on this occasion my partner calls to say the car is on fire !
I shut it down remotely and view the video, a lot of white smoke !
So drove to the garage which it did perfectly after burning of the water/oil mix in the cylinder.
They did not believe it was an issue with the head gaskets as there was no visible oil water mix
Sorry for the long raant, will post some pics

While the intake manifold is off you might want to consider replacing the donut seals that mate the top and bottom parts of the intake manifold, or maybe he already has. I can’t tell if they’re new from the pic.
