It was a fox body notchback, set up like you used to see them all the time. Big rear tires, very small fronts. Driven by a 20 something (did not get a good look) kid. We're on a 40 mph road which Y's off to the left on to a long straight road which has a 50 limit, but no one goes 50... No stop sign to go left, just wait for traffic.

I'm trailing him several car lengths back and I see his turn signal go on, I'm headed that way also. No traffic. So he makes the turn at 35 or so, and nails it, as do I. I'm sure he though WTF is this geezer in a MB doing? Well, I kept up with him, not losing a bit, and started to actually gain at about 90-95. We both had to back off at about 110 to slow for a sweeper. I though he might lose it on the curve because of his tiny front tires, but he managed. Another half mile up the road he bailed off to the left, as I swept by his tail I gave him a thumbs up.

It's very rare to have any kind of street race in podunk where I live, I gotta take what I can get!

Gotta love a sleeper! I like doing that when the Mustang,Camaro, firebird guys have a couple of their buddies in with them, that really shakes them up.I haven't had any (Street) fun with the 500E I just bought, but had many good street races with my 6.3's.

You wanna talk about shaking up Mustangs - just about all of my 1/4 mile drag races against stock 5.0 Mustangs ended up with the Mustang drivers chuckling at the starting line and only to see the back of my car all the way down the track to the finish line. I had quite a few of them asking me later on "What car is this? What's under the hood?"

I have a similar video from some years back at Portland International Raceway, beating a Mustang GT. This was back when I was still rolling my chromed stock wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, at around 22 PSI.
