500E Intermittent stumble

Hello all. I have a 92 500E with an interesting issue. When accelerating from a stop, the engine will intermittently stumble. I have verified with a camera that the throttle is momentarily closing when this happens. There are zero fault codes. I have replaced the throttle body with a reman unit, swapped the ASR, GM and E-Gas modules with test units, and replaced the S29/3 idle switch on the accelerator pedal. Anyone experienced this? Thanks!!

Update: Found HHT momentarily looses communication with E-Gas module when the stumble happens. Thinking either a communication or power/ground issue at this point.

I agree. Also double-check that all modules are FULLY seated in the CAN box. 90% seated can cause some weird stuff to happen.

Not long ago, a forum member found the root cause of a bizarre problem was the metal socket had partly pushed out of the plastic connector (pin bush housing) that a module pressed into. Fixing the socket cured the problem. Wouldn't hurt to eyeball those too.

:detective:
