Is this "Aluminum AMG Sign" currently for sale BaT Genuine (produced by AMG)?

BaT is currently running an auction for what they are calling an "Aluminum AMG Sign" with no real information or indication relating to it's authenticity as having been produced by AMG. There is a date and part number on the back of it (1260451A4.5A82) which doesn't correspond to anything I can find. The only other reference point is a similar listing from a couple years back on Pcar Market with the same Part Number/details. That listing makes some unsupported claims of having been produced in period, significant piece of AMG history,... etc. They don't appear to be two different units and not a repeat sale, and for whatever it's worth the one that sold on PCar appears more "Genuine" in the general aging of it and font accuracy. I suspect both were home made, but was curious if anyone here may have more insight? Links to both auctions below:

I think it's a pretty cool piece if you're a hardcore AMG fan. My approach with items like this is if you like it and it "speaks to you" then buy it if the price is right without worrying if it has real provenance as it'll likely be pretty much impossible to prove a bona fide papertrail for authenticity.

No question it is authentic. I have the same one.

Didn't the "G" in the logo have a small "hook" back in 1985?

Edit: Found a picture showing what I meant:

Unrelated; I'm not a fan of the price of some of these old marketing materials (genuine or not), but agree with @daantjie in that you are the only one to be able to consider if it's worth it or not. If it is indeed a repro or homemade piece, someone did a good job in making it appear genuine though.
