Is Uship a reliable company?

Uship is a broker, like the vast majority of transport companies. They appear to be a larger online broker. I have zero experience with them.

I've used Carla at Bullseye Auto Transport for my last several transports. She's a 1-woman business and you can chat with her about your specific needs. She's also a broker... you pay her broker fee, then you (typically) pay the transport driver when the vehicle is delivered to the destination. Price varies depending on distance, origin & destination cities, and how soon you need the car moved.

I've used UShip many times for large items like furniture and car parts (wheels, seats, etc.) and have had great success. Not sure about auto transport though...
Greg, for shipping large items, was it freight-based? Or standard large boxed packages that could go via UPS, but where Uship had lower rates?

I'm thinking of listing my 19" AMG wheels on MBM and UPS/FedEx ship costs are nuts these days. Would be nice to find a more reasonable option.

It's a broker but tend to be more lax when compared with professional sites. I had a car shipped using uship and it was delivered by a family in a moving van with a trailer behind it. I suspect that he whoever delivered it did not have insurance.

Make sure whoever picks up your car has DOT numbers on the side of the truck and adequate insurance. I had a car dropped from the upper deck once i was glad he had insurance.

Every time it's been a self-employed person hauling a bunch of stuff in a trailer. If they can accommodate your pickup location they will make a bid on your shipping job. I've never had to box anything...I just wrap stuff up in moving blankets.

To answer your question UShip is a reliable online site to post your transport job. You will get bids and quotes from individuals to do the work. It's up to you to vet the respondents and gauge the cost etc. While I have not used them for car transport I had a 300 lb pinball machine picked up from seller in Phoenix and delivered to a border town in Wa. The guy lived close to that town and was driving back from Az with room in his pickup truck. That was that.
