I inherited the car from my uncle who was a hardcore Mercedes enthusiast and as far as I know it only needs a new throttle body. It’s in really great condition all things considered. Interior is very clean and well maintained, all original parts.

Buyer will need to arrange for the car to be towed to their preferred location, has a clear blue title. Will provide location details during purchase

Asking $12,000, will consider all offers at or above asking price.

@Chilltx210 - that asking price is a typo, correct? I assume you meant at/above $1,200... not $12,000?

Also, it will help if you post the VIN, or a photo of the VIN tag, so buyers can check the datacard to see what options it had.

Edit: Note that the 500SEL is a completely different chassis than the 500E, and the values are vastly different. A 1992 500E in the condition shown above possibly be worth $12k. Need to move the decimal point on the 500SEL.

I bought a nearly identical 92 500SEL last year for $500. Same color. Similar condition. I think your price might be a tad high.

They only ever need “just a …..” it’s also usually only a 5 minute job and the new part is in the boot ready to be fitted!
