Let me introduce myself, Im Jussi from Finland, long time Mercedes hobbyist. 10 years ago have built many 124 models, diesels and gasolines, latest seriously taken build was 300CE with big turbo, cams, m103 heavily modded block with m104 head, om606 crankshaft and many other never seen solutions.
At first, I apologize for my english, trying to survive my own without translator, cause Im bit lazy for that.
The second, I need to learn how to put pictures in here, some technical issues when i got iphone, and writing this by windows computer, and Im not handy at all with computers and stuff. Old and dumb dog cannot learn new tricks, they say
So it was maybe 8 years ago, i bought 124 420 project. It has laying and molding at the back of the yard, until last summer i got inspirated and giving 2 weeks of my time for this, got it running and drivable.
Now it got mystery fault, throttle response isnt quick, it wont stall, but when I kick pedal to the floor, it takes approx. 1 second to rise engine speed.
Changed ignition caps, spinners, sparkplugs and repaired breather tubes, vacuum lines, engine wiring harness exept ETA.
Second mystery fault is engine wont turn off, if light switch is on, so maybe light switch or ignition switch has pin or two in wrong spot, or maybe fusebox have uncorrect connection.
In future I maybe put blower on it and Haltech ECU, but only if I cannot repair it as original.
But at least now U all know I'm not a bot or scammer, nice to join this forum.
