• Hi Guest !

    Welcome to the 500Eboard forum.

    Since its founding in late 2008, 500Eboard has become the leading resource on the Internet for all things related to the Mercedes-Benz 500E and E500. In recent years, we have also expanded to include the 400E and E420 models, which are directly related to the 500E/E500.

    We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. If you find helpful information, please register for full membership, and you'll find even more resources available. Feel free to ask questions, and make liberal use of the "Search" function to find answers.

    We hope you will become an active contributor to the community!

    Sincerely,
    500Eboard Management

Just a shout out and recognition

We always discuss the benefits of our community. From Gerry who sponsors the board and moderates, and other moderators and friends from a far who joyfully jump in and help. A big thanks goes out to the entire community for help when needed!

Now then, I want to nominate GSXR all around good guy of the year! So many of us have reached out and he reaches back and typically has all of our backs on a regular basis. I have no trouble saying that I most likely am embarrassing him right now but I think it is important that I publicly say thank you. If there is a petty cash drawer, please take a couple C-notes! When things hit the fan for me, I can hit up your website, get documents and often pursue help off the ledge. You are there for the community, and all I can really do is say thanks, and be a human and share my gratitude with the community you have selflessly served here. I know there are others too, who help out regularly and when I have specifically benefited from that help I have expressed my gratitude.

So here here to GSXR! (smoke'm if ya got'em) ...... {yes it is an inside joke}

Gsxr is my all-time favourite and most respected internet person. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and always there to help. This forum is very lucky to have him. I learned so much from him directly and indirectly even before joining this forum.

I am grateful for the continued enthusiasm of @gsxr and @gerryvz. I know this gets harder to do as Mercedes abandons us and more parts become NLA. Over the years our personal lives have changed but one thing that has remained constant is this board and its helpful members, especially the @gsxr who never seems to miss an owner’s plea for help—usually within a few hours. It’s like having a Mercedes tech on standby. Thanks Dave!
