• Hi Guest !

    Welcome to the 500Eboard forum.

Since its founding in late 2008, 500Eboard has become the leading resource on the Internet for all things related to the Mercedes-Benz 500E and E500. In recent years, we have also expanded to include the 400E and E420 models, which are directly related to the 500E/E500.

We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. If you find helpful information, please register for full membership, and you'll find even more resources available. Feel free to ask questions, and make liberal use of the "Search" function to find answers.

We hope you will become an active contributor to the community!

    Sincerely,
    500Eboard Management

Just logged in to alot of dislikes from one member!

At least some "dislikes" are related to the post content, not the poster... not sure if that's the case here though.

Previous discussion here, see posts 41 through 49.

I’m confused? What does that post on the Renntech car have to do with @JC220?
Read posts 41-49 on that thread and you'll see Rain reacted with "Dislike" to a post by ace10... but Rain was simply agreeing with what ace10 posted, that it wasn't cool what happened to another forum member. Rain wasn't giving ace10 personally a dislike / thumbs-down.

As noted in post 49, I wouldn't mind if the dislike reaction went away, as IMO it can be confusing - as shown with ace10 and Rain.

:wormhole:

Looks like Payback :runexe:
Yes, it is a payback for JC220 for his bad attitude toward my posts. He put dislikes on my posts first without any comments. I can engage rational discussions but JC220 did not do so toward my posts.

It is personal! I did not use "dislike". When I did, I did a lot to JC220 as a payback.

Now, I have raised the awareness. The moderator is welcome to remove all my "dislike" or to ban me outright.

OK thanks for clarifying I didn't know if was some sort of error or you did it on purpose.

If I don't like a specific post I will use the forums tools to provide feedback and I will continue to do so. I don't always feel the need to respond to every post either as sometimes it's better to not say what I'm thinking.

When I posted on the 500e Board, I gave my takes on the car repair and mechanical engineering theories with my best judgement. If you know the extent of the theoretical background I have in engineering, you will know that all my posts are solidly based on my knowledge in fundamental laws and practical experience. Anybody who likes to know my books is welcome to PM me. Do I make mistakes? Of course, all the time. I always welcome rational discussions. JC220 reminds me the SB* on Benzworld. He is the reason that I had to put out a disclaimer in the beginning of my posts: If you don't like my posts, please put me on your ignore list. Over the years, I noticed his bad attitude toward my posts. As I said, I always welcome rational discussion based on science and experience. Dave is the glorifying example on this forum, knowledgeable and open to the new ideas and different opinions. JC220 just struck me as the SB* of the Benzworld. Last time when I was about to post my transmission fluid issue of my E320, I noticed the JC220 gave me a dislike without any comments.. I remember that he never gave me any positive comments over the years.

Then, I thought, what the heck. If he can give, he should be able to take.

So, I did what the beer commercial did. I do not normally give a dislike, if I do, I gave a lot to JC220. I did not count how many. I was surprised, I did not hit 100.

Perhaps, this can clear the air and we can all go back to be civilized again.

@JC220 … you haven’t lived until you’ve received multiple online death threats from Banzworld members, as well as the eternal moniker of “Unhinged Troll” from Cascade there before he passed on (actually he called me that on PeachParts forum, but same difference !!

Banzworld & all of its associated “characters” is the MB forum equivalent of Mos Eisley:
