Well at it appears I got ahead of myself. The passenger side parking light isn't working and for some reason, the ABS dash warning light is now on. After a lot of fidgeting, I was able to get the parking light to function so it's not the bulb. It's the harness. Hope these are still available....as a point of reference, I am trying to use the US bulbs and harnesses vs switching all to Euro.
Use the sockets that came with your US-lenses ....... and install those sockets into your Yurro-Orange lenses! Don't use the Yurro-sockets that came with your Yurro-lenses! The US sockets work with your US car's wiring and expects a bulb with two filaments (parking / signal) in the corners there. Yurro cars only have one filament-bulbs in the corners and therefore the harness and sockets expect one-filament bulbs.

Thanks @Jlaa . I am using the original US sockets and bulbs. Realizing now that I didn't check before pulling the US lenses, to see if the parking light function was working. The turn indicator ( blinker) works as it should. None of that explains the ABS warning light on the dash though...

Wow. I opened this picture and I couldn’t stop staring. I was completely enthralled .........

......with the 2 gang quad-receptacle electrical outlet that is recessed into the steel pole. Like, wow! That box isn’t surface mounted.... it is recessed .... into a steel pole! Oh yeah, the cars are kinda purdy too.

🤣😂🤣😂

Well.. it's been a good 3 years plus since I posted anything on my owner page. Reason being is that shortly after my last post I put the 500e into storage on what was supposed to be a temporary basis.... A few weeks after I put it in said storage, I went to pull it out and it began leaking gas all over the floor of my storage facility....

Life gets busy and complicated and priorities shift. Long and short of it is that I finally got the car hauled out of the storage facility and taken to the good people at Junipero Serra in Daly City, who determined that the gas line was shot and a new fuel pump was needed. They replaced both and did a complete top to bottom inspection on the car. After more than 3 years of sitting they reported that the car is in perfect working order....

I ran it over to get a California smog test upon retrieving it from Junipero Serra and it passed with flying colors.

It has fresh gas and fluids in it and runs like an absolute dream....

So I'm beyond thrilled to have it back in running order and even drove it over to one of the local cars and coffee events this morning where it had a lot of curious and complimentary onlookers...

She's back!

No RIALS on it yet?!
@TimL ...the stock look is still really appealing to me. The rials are still in the box, safe and sound. Because of the gas line / fuel pump issue and it's timing almost immediately after the refurb, the car has barely been driven. I wanted to soak up the beauty of it in completely stock form before changing some of the flavors of the experience. 🤷...since the refurb, the car has been driven less than 200mi. The refurb took 3 years...

I admire your self control and dedication to the original looks. I know that if I had a set of RIALs laying around I would not have been able to keep myself from installing them for a couple of years :)

Your car looks stunning!

Cool event last week at Club Wheelhouse in Marin County, CA. 000 Magazine did an event wherein Pete Stout (founder of 000) discussed their most recent Porsche commission celebrating David Donner's record setting run for a stock production car up Pike's Peak. Great evening, great cars! My 500E was invited in to the fray for some historical perspective of Porsche's past.

Looking very sharp! What a cool event to have a car displayed at - awesome!
Thanks, Tim. Really appreciate it. An amazing venue and a great talk by Pete. I had a chance to chat further with him afterward about the exhaustive article he did on the 500E in 000. He is a huge fan of our cars and a delightful guy.

They are beautifully laid out on the tables and you can see the reflection of his cars 🚘 in one of the mirrors.

I know! It’s a static display in the garage!:goodjob:
