LCA Eccentric Washer factory direction/position

Does anyone know if the LCA's eccentric washer needs to point inward or outward equally on both LCA's?

I needed to replace the right LCA's eccentric washer (I replaced the whole eccentric pin kit) since its middle nipple was worn out and I was feeling the car pull to the right a bit more. I had the car aligned last week and today while having the car inspected for next week's track event, I noticed that the right LCA's eccentric washer in pointing outward while the left is pointing inward. That, and the front right wheel seems to be outward a bit more than before and the left wheel a tad inward.

How much room is there if the washers are adjusted to move the wheels in and out? I want to bring the car back in to have it readjusted, if it's possible.

A picture might help but basically it doesn't really matter which way the eccentrics are pointing as long as the resulting alignment of the wheels is correct. Keep in mind that every car will be slightly different due to tolerances in the chassis itself, deflection of every bushing due to age, and again to production tolerances of the individual suspension components.

Steve, left to right adjustment will almost always be different. Ignore the position of the eccentrics, what matters is the alignment numbers.

BTW, the photo you show is of a rear tie rod eccentric bolt, not the front LCA eccentrics.

Very timely and insightful! ;-)

Thanks, guys. Sorry for the lack of pics from underneath...need to force myself to bring my work phone with me when at the shop's.

The alignment is now within the specs and the right side pull is gone, but I'm sure the right wheel was moved outward a tad, just need to confirm that with the tech from the dealership.
