Recently joined the (official) Mercedes-Benz Club of Canada and attended my first meet-up in Niagara-on-the-Lake for lunch at a pub and tasting at a local winery.
On the way there, I pull a corner and see traffic is at a standstill: the Welland Canal bridge is up. The traffic around me is unusual: it's a single-line convoy of Corvettes. So here I am off to the side in a narrowing lane, thinking "Oh hi! I have a V8 too". When the bridge resets and traffic begins to flow, the driver of the lead 'vette waves me on, so as not to break their combo.
There were a pleasing array of vintage and newer MB at the meet. Some highlights below. Somewhat surprisingly mine was the only W124. A couple people seemed to know it was no ordinary W124, the rest did not. Have been asked to write up an article for the club magazine to educate people.
