FYI Mercedes 500E & E500 Owner's Manual Pouch Contents

This post is intended to provide a definitive reference for the owner's manual case contents for 500E and E500 owners. It should also equally apply to 400E and E420 owners, as well as be a general reference for other MB models (W140, R129, etc.) from the corresponding model years.

Starting in the 1990 model year, Mercedes-Benz delivered North America-market cars with a newly designed, black leather owner's manual case. All 1992 model year 500E models delivered in North America in late 1991 through late 1992 should have this black leather case.

This is the hallmark of a German car, at least to me...... controls which are so frustratingly non-intuitively obvious that they require a hang-tag to explain how they work.

Controls which are intuitively obvious to use are just too homogenized for me.

Optional to be added:
There was an cleaning wipe for the telescopic antenna rod. Similar to a small wet wipe pack which could be found too in the glove box or manual pouch
