@gsxr, @gerryvz, or @northNH, do any of you have a small metal clip for the air temperature sensor that inserts into the driver side air intake duct, that you'd like to sell? :whistling2:

I don't... that clip is almost always missing, and I have no idea why. Available new from MB, 124-528-03-40, but not cheap. Gerry might have a couple kicking around though?

Why yes.....yes I do have one of those clips.

Along with a set of plastic intake air covers/ducts to go with it. And a spare air temp sensor attached to the clip and one of the covers.

I only need a clip. It's understood that it's part of the package, and you wont separate it

A new owner of the covers should be entitled to a new/spare clip, and a spare/used IAT sensor.....

Have you checked the hidden cavity below the ABS pump and ignition coils? I found my clip there.
In case you're not aware of this, it's a non-accessible cavity with a plastic cover in the bottom towards the wheelhouse. And no - you don't reach down there with your fingers, and you can't see anything down there either. IIRC is that small cover fixed from underneath and accessed from the wheel house when you loosen the inner plastic fender. When you pry off that plastic cover you may break the locking tabs. I recommend using a flexible pick up tool or flexible magnetic stick from the top side, it's a small cavity to search through.
Heavy & loud swearing during the process may not help....:watermelon:

Previous post #8 updated with pics of that cover. I was wrong about the locking tabs, it's fixed with plastic nuts and maybe a plastic expansion plug. On the last image is a flexible magnetic stick reached down to that plastic cover. Maybe a simpler way to access and take off that cover in the wheelhouse.
