SOLD Mirror boots

Best price I found was $225/pr and although that's a fraction of what they were last year I still think that's steep for rubber. May hit a PnP this week as there a number of them in the area.

You will have your best chances harvesting boots from a 1991 or earlier W124 model, as the rubber tends to preserve better on the older W124s.

Even a decent used pair is going to cost you $80-100 here on the forum, so I would just go with new ones, and you will probably never have to worry about them again.

Current price, you are right, from MB Annapolis is around $225 for the pair. The left side is $85. It's the right one that is killer expensive.

Well, I'm sure someone will have a pair they will part with.

I have a good passenger side mirror with a good boot from a 1990 car that I grabbed yesterday. PM if interested

Keep in mind that you can swap the entire mirror, if you have a donor mirror with good boot. The painted plastics easily pop off and swap around.

All passenger mirrors are the same, but remember 1993-up USA models have electric driver miror.

I agree! I’ve been hunting PnP for some nice ones. I thought I found a great looking yet dusty set and grabbed them only to get home and wash them up and discover a bunch of fine line cracks well hidden by the dust. Now I’m carrying a small bottle of windex and paper towels to check them out before buying again.

Whatever you do don’t be tempted to buy the aftermarket ones on fleabay from Turkey. They are so awful I just tossed them in the trash 😒

You should have complained and asked for a replacement set, then you would get your money back. I ordered a pair a couple months ago, and the passenger side boot was so poorly molded that the edges weren't even complete as if the mold hadn't filled. I told them I wanted a replacement and they said they couldn't break up a set, so they gave me my money back for the whole thing.

The driver's side one wasn't bad at all. I'm using it in the interim since it was a major improvement over the old one.

Yeah, they gave me the whopping $18 back, but what a waste of time.
