I need to borrow a w124 ignition lock removal tool, the u-shaped thin wire tool.
Would order on-line but will take too long to get to me.
Your generosity it greatly appreciated.
I will pay shipping both ways, of course.
Regards

Steve, you can fabricate one from a wire coat hanger. The dimensions should be in the FSM...

Stevester 500E: If you prefer to borrow one let me know. I'll be glad to send it. I have daily UPS pick up service at my store so its easy. I just replaced my cylinder lock a few weeks ago and my tool worked just fine.
I live in Albany NY.

These tools are not expensive to buy via eBay and if you have more than one MB are a good thing to have.

Local Dry Cleaner gave me a free coat hangar.
I used cheap small bolt cutters from H.F. to cut the bevels on the hangar tips.
Sanded the the bevels a tad it using the side-walk as my sand paper.
After work today, I drove to the local pick and pull and removed a set of locks, I got the door locks, trunk lock and ignition lock. The ignition lock was fairly easy to remove.

Feels good to have an extra set of W124 locks.
