• Hi Guest !

    Welcome to the 500Eboard forum.

Since its founding in late 2008, 500Eboard has become the leading resource on the Internet for all things related to the Mercedes-Benz 500E and E500. In recent years, we have also expanded to include the 400E and E420 models, which are directly related to the 500E/E500.

We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. If you find helpful information, please register for full membership, and you'll find even more resources available. Feel free to ask questions, and make liberal use of the "Search" function to find answers.

We hope you will become an active contributor to the community!

    Sincerely,

NEW POSTS/WHAT'S NEW

OK, maybe I'm suffering from a "senior moment" here - and indeed maybe its a question I should have asked yonks ago - particularly as both "New Posts" and "What's new" featured on the old site.

But now, with the introduction of the new site, it seems to be a good moment to ask if anyone can enlighten me as to the difference between "New Posts" and "What's new"? It appears to me that when opening either tab, pretty much the same threads are featured.

Sorry in advance if I'm being a bit slow!

New posts = shows you all unread posts since your last visit

What's new = shows you recent posts (both read and unread) as well as other recent activity, such as comments that people have put on photo albums, people's profiles, etc.

What's new also has a drop-down menu (the down-arrow) that allows you to specify the "new" content that you want to see.

I use "new posts" almost exclusively, myself.
