I got a custom cat-back exhaust installed so my 1992 500E’s center resonator is for sale - will accept any reasonable offer. When the resonator and muffler were removed, the car showed 106,000 miles. I got the car with 84,000 miles three years ago and the center resonator and muffler were in the same condition as shown in the pictures. I will email larger pictures of the resonator if needed.

I think Omegabenz has shown interest in the muffler, so I will not place the muffler for sale unless Omegabenz changes his mind.

The cat-back is a: Y pipe replacement of the center resonator, custom mandrel bent stainless steel 3” piping all around and two custom chambered mufflers. I did not choose to have tips showing and went for clean and hidden exhaust so the muffler tips are pointing down and are hidden from view and by not adding gleaming tips I saved $200.00 not to mention having the tips would loose some of the clearance in the back and cutting the rear to fit the tips was out of the question. Got about 18lbs of torque out the upgrade and the lose of the stock center resonator and muffler weight to add makes a very noticeable difference.

The cat-back was done by Ralph Biase of RBtech in Los Angeles; here are two examples of the exact cat-back that I got – at idle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aegsPoUV7aE and from take off http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtzBJFjRb-g I do not have video and audio of my car just yet since I’m still braking in the mufflers.

I love how my car sounds with this cat-back exhaust, and the quality as well as the craftsmanship is top notch by Ralph.Y pipe.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0] 3 inch pipe.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0] Underneath right side view.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0]Center resonator removed.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0]Underneath side view.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0]Cats meet new pipes.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0]Underneath view.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0]Rear_copy.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0] Twin mufflers.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0] Resonator_4.JPG[/attachment:116x29t0]

Can you post larger pix of your new system? From the small pix, it looks very nice but I'd love to see more detail 8-)
